Art Exhibition Closing Ceremony - June 2025
Join the Hispanic Research Center as they commemorate the closing of their art exhibition "Chicano/a/x Prints and Graphics: Selections from the Hispanic Research Center’s Collection, 1980–2010." The exhibition, which has been on display since July 2024, will officially end it's run on June 29, 2025. This event will include food, giveaways, HRC books for sale, and insights from HRC staff on the artwork.

Printing el Pueblo Lab Events at First Friday, May 2025
The Humanities Lab and the HRC hosted two events with students from the Printing el Pueblo lab. May 1, 2025 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. ASU Art Museum (Tempe campus) AND May 2, 2025 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Xico 829 N. 1st Ave., Phoenix AZ 85003

Open Door 2025
The HRC participated in this year's ASU Open Door event on Tempe campus, February 22, 2025 starting at 1 p.m.! This was an all-ages celebration of education for the ASU community. You'll find us, along with many other schools and groups, with a variety of interactive activities, drawings, swag, and much more.

Blowout Book Sale 2024 & Spring 2025
The HRC is hosted multiple Blowout Book Sales in 2024 and 2025. Guests were invited to come explore our selection of rare and very hard to find Chicano/a/x literature. Patrons were encouraged to purchase a bag from the HRC ($25 for students, $35 for staff & faculty) and fill it with as many of our titles as you can fit! Ideal for voracious readers and bargain hunters alike!

Curator IRL XP with the Hispanic Research Center
IRL XP was a series of behind the scenes real life experiences. Experts took an opportunity to visit, ask questions, tell stories, share insights and engage in meaningful exchange with art, culture and ideas.

Visualizing Chicano/a/xs: Photography and Prints
The ASU Hispanic Research Center, the ASU Art Museum, and the University of Arizona Center for Creative Photography hosted a discussion of "Chicano/a/x Prints and Graphics: Selections from the Hispanic Research Center's Collection, 1980-2010" and "Louis Carlos Bernal: Retrospectiva," on view now at the ASU Art Museum and UA Center for Creative Photography.

Abriendo Puertas HRC Block Party – October 17
This was the official relaunch of the Hispanic Research Center at Arizona State University. The HRC empowers Latino/a/x and Hispanic individuals and communities by generating and disseminating knowledge of public value and creating programming and partnerships that support the success of a multicultural society. Event included introductions from the University Provost, art show, book sale, car show, food truck, and Hispanic organization fair. Events took place on ASU Tempe campus.

The HRC Hosts Renowned Arizona Artist Cristina Cárdenas - October 19th
The HRC hosted a presentation and conversation with award-winning Latina artist Cristina Cárdenas. Born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Ms. Cárdenas is now based in Arizona. Event took place in the Pima Room within the Memorial Union.
